handmade ceramic smokeware

Highly Inspired

Stonedware has teamed up with Make & Mary to host a Design Week Portland Art Show and fundraiser featuring 11 artists from around the world.

Artists have been chosen to transform their artwork onto beautifully designed geometric ceramic pipes.

This unique show aims to raise awareness on expunging criminal sentences related to Cannabis possession and to support arts education for Portland’s houseless youth.

THE PIPE ARTISTS

There are only 3 pipes being made by each artists. One for the artists, one for the curators, and one to be auctioned off for charity. Winners will receive a handmade pipe created by Stonedware.

THE PRINT ARTISTS

When we begun this show early in 2019 we also intended to have a letterpress portion. Unfortunately due to covid and exhausted people power & funds we had to limit it to just the pipe artists as the production was already in the works. However, we want to acknowledge and amplify the work of the other artists whose work we were unable to produce. Visit the link below to learn more about each artist. They are all inspiring and we are hopeful to collaborate with them in the future.
